Frequently Asked Questions

What is the OxBright Career Test?

The Career Test is a brief questionnaire you’ll take to tell us about your preferences, interests and skills.

You’ll then receive a personalised in-depth Report that contains recommendations to assist you in discovering your ideal career path – including suggested career options (based on your interests and skills), data and statistics to see how you compare to other students, and valuable insights and resources for navigating the career exploration process and preparing for your future professional endeavours.

Who is it for - and what careers does it cover?

The Career Test is for students aged 15-18 who are keen to get the edge for their future. It is designed to help young people prepare effectively for future career and university applications – whichever career or university they’re aiming for. The Test covers more than 250 careers.

How does it work?

Take the short test (it’s about 5 minutes long). The test will ask you around 20 questions, which will give us the information we need about you and your interests and ambitions.

We’ll then read through your answers, and create a personalised Report, just for you.

If you like, you can choose to receive more support from us, with ongoing career-specific resources and advice.

Why is the Test free?
At OxBright, our mission is to give you the edge to help you succeed, find your purpose and make a difference in the world. One of the ways we do this is through providing free resources and support via the Career Test and our blog.

We want all OxBright students to fulfil their potential, and we hope the Report will help you to do that.

We also offer Online Courses, Internships and Conferences, and if you’d like to sign up for one of these programmes, we’d be very pleased to welcome you. However, these are completely optional and the Career Test is totally free of charge.
