Computer Science & Coding (ages 15-18)
During this online Computer Science & Coding course, you’ll develop proficiency in Python coding, and you’ll learn about the emerging capabilities and potential of Artificial Intelligence. You’ll leave the course with the technical skills and theoretical understanding for a future in Computer Science or software engineering.
During this course, you’ll:
- Learn the basics of programming in Python and understand the potential applications of Python
- Collaborate with your peers on a challenging technical project
- Discuss the latest developments in Artificial Intelligence and explore the implications of AI on the future of work, education, and technology
Our small group sizes mean that this course is suitable for students from beginner to intermediate level in Python coding. If you’re unsure about whether this course will suit you, please get in touch and we’ll be happy to help.

Benjamin White
MChem (Hons)
Ben is researching the uses of nanotechnology in oncology with the aim of improving patient outcomes in chemotherapy. He is working towards his DPhil in Engineering at Oxford University, having completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Bath.
With lots of tutoring experience, Ben loves sharing his passion for Engineering.
Tuscany Parkin
BA LLB (Rhodes), BCL (Oxon)
Tuscany holds a Masters of Law from Oxford University, and is now reading for an MPhil in Legal Philosophy at Oxford, focusing her research on the philosophy of contract law.
Originally from South Africa, she holds a BA in English Literature and an LLB Law from Rhodes University. She is passionate about sharing her interest in Law with the next generation of lawyers.
Rahul Radia
BA (Oxon)
Rahul is a 5th year medical student at the University of Oxford with a first class degree in medical sciences. Academically, his interests include cardiovascular physiology and surgery.
He has conducted research at the Department of Physiology, Anatomy and Genetics in Oxford surrounding the relationship between sleep and metabolism, and he loves to share his research with young people.

You'll have regular online Masterclasses alongside your daily subject tutorials. These are skills-based sessions run by experts and offered to OxBright students on all courses.
In these sessions, you'll learn skills that will be important for your future — no matter which path you pursue at university.

- Crafting a compelling university application (including UCAS personal statements and the new UCAS system)
- Critical thinking and constructing an argument

Socials
One of the best things about our Online Summer School is how diverse our student body is: over 2,500 students from 80 nationalities have joined!
While you'll mostly spend time with the students who are studying the same programme as you - getting to know them in group activities, breakout rooms, and teamwork - you'll also get to meet students from other programmes during our weekly Socials.
The video Socials are a chance for you to get to know other students over a game, a quiz or a group activity run by our team. These events are informal, relaxed, and friendly - come along to take a break from academic study and make friends from around the world!
Graduation
Attend an online Graduation event at the end of your programme to celebrate your achievements with your family members, friends, teachers, and fellow students.
If you'd like, you can volunteer to speak about your experiences on the programme with the rest of the group - the perfect way to take stock of what you've achieved.
We'll send you the recording of the event so that you can look back on it in the future, or share it with any family members who weren't able to join live.
Certificate and Letter of Recommendation
When you successfully complete an online summer school course, you'll receive a Certificate of Achievement and a personalised Letter of Recommendation from your tutor, outlining what you covered on the course and your personal skills and strengths.
You'll be able to use this letter as an academic reference for future university, internship or job applications.
